Many of today's authors are signing movie details before their books are even published. In the midst of a growing demand for entertaining stories, Hollywood producers are looking to authors for new material.
Is this a good trend? Are movies inspiring people to read more? Or are they having the opposite effect?
Over the course of the year, you can earn extra points in your English class by examining this very issue. So don't just watch the movie. Watch it with a critical eye. Read the book. And then write about them -- which was more effective at telling the story and why?
